Event Description

Danish Shipping Education is training the shipping-professionals of tomorrow in close collaboration with the shipping companies, creating an education that is both theoretical and practical, and prepares its trainees for an exciting future in the worldwide shipping industry. 

Practical Information

Trainees are enrolled in Danish Shipping Education by the shipping company, bunker company, or other shipping operation, with which they have a contract. Trainees are therefore required to be employed in trainee positions from the beginning of the education.

Team 2023-2025 commences 18th of September 2023 and finishes 21nd of June 2025.

Danish Shipping Education combines theory and practice, and includes four in-person modules, which complement the practical on-the-job training and the online webinars. The dates for the modules are:

Module 1, 18th – 23rd of September 2023 
Module 2: 4th -9th of March 2024
Module 3: 4th – 9th of November 2024
Module 4: 15th – 20th of June 2025

The first Modules take place at Sonnerupgaard Gods, Tølløsevej 53, 4330 Hvalsø, +45 46 40 95 31, sonnerupgaard.dk. However, the first course will start off with a day of introduction at Danish Shipping in Copenhagen.

Fees: 
DKK 79,000 for members of Danish Shipping/Danish Ferry Association, DKK 99,000 for non-members. Both prizes are exclusive 15.000 + VAT for accommodation and books. The fee is paid in three instalments:

September 2023 Half fee

September 2024 Half fee + books + Accommodation year 1

September 2025 Accommodation year 2

The course fee covers tuition, teaching materials, enterprise visits, meals and catering during the modules, transport to the modules from Danish Shipping on the first day of every module, transport from modules 1-3 to Copenhagen Central station, and transport to Danish on the day of the graduation. The fee does not cover accommodation before the modules start.

Terms of cancellation: 
Before the registration deadline: Free of charge 
After registration deadline, until 8 days before module 1: 10% of the price will be charged

Less than 8 days before module 1: Repayment of the amount covering meals for module 1.
During the first year: No refund for year one
During the second year: No refund.
