Event Description

The Commercial Shipping Program team 2020-2022 will be held during the period from September 2020 to June 2022.

The program includes three residential modules in Denmark. These are scheduled as follows:

Module 1: 21 - 29 September 2020 - Module 2: 25 – 31 May 2021- Module 3: 13 – 17 June 2022.

The modules will take place at Hotel Hornbækhus, Skovvej 7, 3100 Hornbæk, +45 49 70 01 69, www.hornbaekhus.com. However, the first course will start off with an introduction day at Danish Shipping in Copenhagen.

Between the three modules the tuition will be carried out as webinars.

Partial Participation: Employees who have completed the BSc in International Shipping and Trade at CBS may follow parts of the program:

Module 1: Introduction, Cultural Understanding, Communication and Ship Knowledge - Module 2: Ship Knowledge, Negotiation and Presentation - Module 3: Ship Knowledge and Risk Management

The participants are free to follow the online webinars in Maritime Law and Economics.

Prices: The course fee is DKK75,000 + VAT for members of Danish Shipping/Danish Ferry Association, and DKK95,000 + VAT for non-members. For partial participation it is DKK50,000 and DKK62,000 respectively.

The course fee covers tuition, teaching materials, books, enterprise visits and accommodation and meals at Hotel Hornbækhus. Accommodation on the night before the graduation and transport to Copenhagen is also included for trainees not living near Copenhagen. As module 1 starts in Copenhagen, transport to Hotel Hornbækhus on the first day and back to Copenhagen on the last day is also included. The fee does not cover accommodation on the nights before the modules start.

Terms of cancellation: Up until registration deadline: Free of charge - After registration deadline until 8 days before module 1: 10% of the price will be charged - After 8 days before module 1 and during the program: Repayment of the amount covering accommodation and meals.
